1 Kings 3:14,15 - If you walk in obedience

3:14

“If you walk in obedience”. This command applies to all of the Old Testament, to all of the Law, and it is something we cannot do. However, obedience most definitely does not go out of the window with the gospel. Just read the gospels and the rest of the New Testament if you need to be convinced. The situation is perhaps best summed up by the phrase, “we are not saved by obedience, but we are saved for obedience”.

3:15

Solomon then woke up and realised it had been a dream. He then made offerings before the ark of the covenant, followed by “a feast for all his court”. Note that Solomon is now offering sacrifices at the right place, not at a high place.
