Isaiah 52:9,10 - The Lord has bared His Holy arm

52:9
“Burst into song you ruins”. Our God is a God of transformation. Jerusalem was a tip, little more than a heap of rubble, yet God calls on the ruins to burst into song. There are two basic truths. The first is that sin causes utter devastation in the lives of individuals and the lives of a society. The second is that God’s salvation in Christ is well able to overturn all the ill effects of sin. “The Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem”. It is clear from Isaiah that God’s salvation is not limited to Israel, it is global, but we should also note that the prophecy that focuses most on the global reach of God’s salvation also makes repeated reference to Jerusalem and to Israel. Jerusalem is still involved in God’s plans.

52:10

The Lord will act in the sight of all the nations, He will show them His salvation. Christ was crucified by the Romans, and the crucifixion took place in public. And His salvation will go to all the ends of the earth. At the end of Matthew (28:19,20) the Great Commission was to go to all the world and make disciples of all nations.
