25:9
Much of Isaiah, indeed much of all the prophets, is about Israel not trusting the Lord and therefore worshiping idols and taking the consequences. However, this is not what applies to all. There are those who trust in the Lord, and if we trust in the Lord there will come a day when we see that our faith was more than vindicated. We will receive full salvation and will rejoice. Remember that in Philippians one of the recurring themes is rejoicing in the Lord.
25:10-12
So why does Moab suddenly get introduced? Moab is representative of the enemies of Israel and of God. There are many enemies in this world, this is the reality. So if we look for a time now when we will never again see enemies or face opposition we are mistaken and will be discouraged. But the hand of the Lord is against these enemies. The pride and cleverness of these enemies will be brought low. All their defences will be shown to be utterly worthless.
