Ephesians 3:19-21 - The love of Christ that surpasses knowledge

3:19

Christ’s love is infinitely greater than we ever imagine. It surpasses knowledge. If we try and approach this from a purely human perspective we will never grasp it at all. For it takes spiritual knowledge, Godly revelation in order to grasp it. Only then will we be “filled with all the fullness of God”.

3:20

“Now to Him ...” God is infinitely greater than we ever imagine. No matter how much of His goodness and greatness we have experienced and know, there is so much more to come. There are no limits, only the limits of our minds. Therefore we must not let our minds prescribe the limits. “According to the power at work in us”. God wants us to know the full extent and nature of His love for us., and His power is at work in us to enable that to happen.

3:21

“To Him be glory in the church”. The church is meant to be a living demonstration of the nature, the glory of God. “and in Christ Jesus”. It is only when we are in Christ, when we trust Him and depend upon Him, that there can be glory in the church. And this glory will continue forever and ever.
