Acts 13:42-45 - Invited them to speak further

Paul and Barnabas had obviously made an impression, for they were invited back the next week. Moreover, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism accepted what Paul and Barnabas had said. Paul and Barnabas urged them to “continue in the grace of God”. It is only by the grace of God that we can be saved. We need God’s grace in order to believe in the first place, to have the scales removed from our eyes, and we need His grace in order to continue to grow in faith.

Paul and Barnabas turned up the next week and there was a large gathering of people wanting to hear them. They had clearly made an impact the previous week. There were also Jews who were “filled with jealousy”, and they tried to disrupt what Paul and Barnabas were doing, and heaped abuse on them.
