13:30,31
While man’s work was finished, God’s work had not! For God raised Him from the dead. In all the gospel preaching in Acts the resurrection is central. The whole gospel hinges on the cross and the resurrection. And this resurrection was witnessed by many people. Initially there were the women at the tomb, then the apostles on various occasions, and at one point over five hundred people, as mentioned by Paul in 1 Cor 15.
13:32-35
So this is the good news. The promises that God had made to the Israelites at various points through history were now being fulfilled in and through Christ. Paul then quotes from Ps 2:7; Is 55:3 and Ps 16:10. Jesus is the Son of God, He is the recipient of the blessings promised to David, and death could not hold Him.
