This is another general blessing. If they fully obeyed the Lord then everything would just work. I know I keep going on about this, but it seems so clear to me that in the UK nothing works anymore, and this has coincided with our ever increasing abandonment of God’s ways. So it doesn’t matter if you vote Conservative, Labour or any of the other parties. It will not improve things. What we need is national repentance, we need a revival.
28:9-11
They would be established as God’s holy people. The plans that God has for His people are amazing. If only Adam and Eve had not sinned, how wonderful things would have been. Israel was given all these laws and promises, but they were part of fallen humanity, so it is only the curses that would come upon them, as they did. Yet God’s plans for humanity have not changed, and through Christ God’s plans will be fulfilled. God’s people would be honoured, feared and prospered. When we face opposition from the world, may God give us the grace to hold fast to Him.
