Notice the “my mountains”. All of creation belongs to God and He can do with it whatever He wills or desires. So mountains can be turned into roads. God can make a highway through the most difficult of circumstances, just as He made a way through the Red Sea and the Jordan. God would bring His people from all directions. Aswan was a region in Egypt.

We see here the global and impact of this and its impact on the natural world. Rom 8:22 speaks of creation groaning as it waits for the sons of God to be revealed. Here we read of the heavens and earth bursting into song as the Lord comforts His people, as He has compassion upon them. The best thing that can happen to the environment is that men and women turn to God. This does not mean we should not seek to look after the environment properly, but we also need to have a right perspective.
