Ephesians 1:9,10 - Which He purposed

1:9
God is absolutely sovereign and in one sense unknowable, unless He chooses to reveal Himself in Romans 1:20 says that His divine power and eternal nature are revealed in creation. His salvation plan is revealed in Christ, and only in Christ. God revealed this “according to His good pleasure”. No one had to persuade God to reveal it, it did not need to be teased out of Him. God freely chose to reveal His will through Christ. But is is only in Christ that we will discover that will. And God’s will is “purposed in Christ”. We need to be absolutely Christo-centric.

1:10

God’s plan of salvation is “ to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment.'' Time is not going round in circles, but is progressing along a path, a God determined path, and eventually things will reach their fulfillment. In practical terms this means that whatever else things may look like, God is in control. And God’s will, God’s purpose, is that all things are brought to unity under Christ. And that is all things in heaven and on earth.
