13:14
Jesus endured the scorn of the cross for the joy set before Him. We also should do likewise, for we have an eternal city, this world is not an enduring city. This world is temporal. So we have joy set before us. We need to have an eternal perspective, not as a form of escapism, but so that we we live properly and wisely today.
13:15
So we should indeed offer sacrifices, not animal sacrifices but a sacrifice of praise. Circumstances may say we have nothing to praise God for, but we should praise God as an act of faith. And this praise is not just singing or worship, but includes the way we live our lives. We should gladly proclaim the name of Jesus.
