Isaiah 66:12-14 -I will extend peace to her

How can this happen? How can this possibly come about? It will come about because of the Lord, because He will extend peace to her, and peace like a river. The glory of the nations will come to Jerusalem.

God will comfort Jerusalem. We need to remember this when we look at Israel today, and we need to remember this when we look at ourselves and others. Salvation is all of God.

66:14

Yet again we see the blessing and the judgement. This is a consistent pattern throughout the Bible, and we need to give due weight to both aspects. Note that the flourishing happens when the people see God comforting Jerusalem. People talk about blind faith, or faith without evidence. While faith will go against the common view of the world, the Bible does not actually know much about blind faith! Biblical faith is based on evidence and on who God is.
