Jesus healed many of them, and cast out many demons. Here it does not say “all”. However, just as we should beware of treating “all” in an absolutely literal manner, we should also be careful about reading too much into the use of “many”. The text is clearly saying that lots of people were healed or set free from demons. Healing ministries can get a bad name, but we should note that Jesus had no compunctions whatsoever about healing people. However, we should also note that He also kept the focus on the main thing. Teaching and preaching about the kingdom of God was His prime focus. Here this was enacted by Jesus stopping the demons from blabbering away. If we say teaching is the main thing, therefore we will not have any healings, then we are being unbiblical. Equally, if say we will put the focus on healings, neglecting teaching of the kingdom we are being just as unbiblical.
