2 Chronicles 14 - Asa

14:1-6

Abijah was succeeded by his son Say, and the country enjoyed ten years of peace. Asa did “what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord”, including removing foreign altars and the high places. He led Judah to follow and obey the Lord, there was no war, and the strong implication is that this was because he sought the lord.

14:7-15

The towns were cleared of their idols and built up. He also established an army. Zerah the Cushite marched out against him, but Asa called on the Lord, and the Lord struck down the Cushites. The returnees are being reminded that salvation and restoration lie in seeking the Lord. So  Asa utterly defeated the enemy.
